What do people think you do for a living? I get asked regularly, from where do I get all the time to do everything. I think this question arises from the fact that I’m a mother to a little boy and that I have been home schooling him for the past four years, which has been a wonderful bonding experience. I also balance this with my interior design course and my blogging, which most that know me are aware of due to all my posting on Facebook and Twitter.

What do you actually do for a living? I’m currently pursuing a career in Interior Design. I’m a lifestyle, fashion and interior design blogger and I work as an editorial assistant creating advertisements. I’m also a mother to a beautiful little boy.

Tell us about your passions! There are many things I am passionate about. Being a mum is definitely one of them. However, my main passions are interior design, history, the history of architecture and civilizations, good design, wonderful food and great music.

Who|what inspires what you do? Women who keep their heads held up high regardless of what they have negatively experienced in life and those who keep pushing forward even when life’s setbacks and hurdles tries to hold them back.

Was there a turning point in your life that led you to your current career? I spent many of my teenage years trying to perfect myself for others and I was pursuing a career that I was not passionate about. Due to wanting to make others happy I sacrificed my own happiness to a point where I had to actually think about what I wanted from life, what makes me happy and where my passions truly lie.

If money weren’t a factor, what would you be doing? I would be doing exactly the same thing, which is wonderful! I would be pursuing a career in Interior Design alongside blogging. If money was not a factor I would have better funding for my company and I would invest in helping others, particularly young women in achieving their dreams.

What’s in your Bucket List? To set up my own Interior Design company, working alongside wonderful people. To ultimately give back by helping open schools and centers, in countries where it would be greatly beneficial. To publish a book on Home Style. To open various boutiques across the globe, which specialize in luxurious home accessories. I would also love to launch a fashion brand, specializing in evening wear for women and children.

Knowing all you know now, what would you tell your 20 year old self? Don’t listen and live to please others. Listen to your heart and focus on what makes you happy. It’s your future.

What’s you go-to stress reliever? I find music particularly calming and relaxing.

How do you perceive retirement? Enjoying it with my family and grandchildren.

Do you have a personal philosophy you’d like to share?

Be true to yourself, believe in yourself and be happy.

What would you like your legacy to be? An inspiration to my children and those wishing to pursue their dreams.
