Raisin: September’s Bold Lip Challenge

Raisin: September’s Bold Lip Challenge

(1) Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey
Everything 90′s is in again, including the iconic Black Honey. Yes, the same lipstick you received in your GWP, and spied on Brenda Walsh, is still a cult-favorite. A lip stain before lip stain, was even a thing this sheer raisin will baby-step you into the trend.

This creamy lipstick-in-a-tube has four times the pigment as average, making the application deep and luscious. The reddest of the bunch, its is perfect for a red-lip-lover to dip her toe into the deep-lip wading pool.

I’ll admit it: I chose this lipstick for totally superficial reasons. Marc Jacobs is one of my favorites, and the name Moody Margot is to die for. But the best part turned out to be the texture; not sticky, or waxy, the gel formula feels like no other.

UD is known for color payoff and long wear in eye colors, and this new product brings the “revolution” to lips. Pair this deep lip with a simple eye: a creamy nude lid, and mascara on top lashes only for a beautiful balance.

Zero shine is a very bold way to wear September’s color. Leave it to NARS to take it to an extreme depth. Lighten it up with balm under and gloss over, or go full throttle straight from the stick. Tip: dark, matte lips require precision, so be sure that line is ruler-straight.

OCC’s Fall collection is inspired by the 1920′s Berlin art scene. Channel you inner vamp in this deep lipstick with an unexpected red metallic finish.
