Brief Biography: Doug Workman first joined the Army as an Infantryman and spent 3 years in the 1st/75th Airborne Rangers but the majority of his career was in the little known Army Boat Field. He started as an Enlisted Soldier but 23 years later retired as a Chief Warrant Officer 5 (CW5). Marine Engineering Officers are highly technical maintainers who must know how to repair all vessel systems and run their own Army Supply for fleets of boats. Doug finished his career as the Program Manager for the Army Prepositioned (Long Term Storage) Watercraft Program. There he transformed the Maintenance, Supply, and Warehouse operations to be able to supply Soldiers with mission ready vessels within 96 hours. His area of responsibility spanned the world from America, to the Middle East, and to the Pacific Theater. He gained extensive contract writing and oversight experience in his 6 years heading that program.
